Scoped feature development
Add a clearly bounded feature to an existing repository.

- Choose this to add a scoped feature to an existing repo; choose Website implementation & browser tools for a standalone prototype.
- Scope unit
- One feature and acceptance cases
- Possible delivery format
- Repository/feature report first; client-repo patch/PR and tests after approved development
You send · You receive
What to send
- Repository/commit and required local development setup
- User story, business rules and acceptance cases
- Security, deployment constraints and allowed files
Start by describing the materials you already have; missing details can be added when we agree the scope. Before work begins, we will confirm the materials, permissions and working conditions needed for your specific task.
Two stages
Stage 1 · Diagnosis
First receive a repository/feature feasibility assessment: run/test prerequisites, affected modules and dependencies, acceptance cases, risks/blockers, proposed development scope and estimate basis.
Possible outputs
- Repository/feature feasibility, dependencies/risks, acceptance cases and proposed development scope report
A diagnosis can be the complete order.
Stage 2 · Approved implementation
Development is separately scoped and quoted after the client confirms rules, allowed changes, authorization and the test environment. A branch/patch/PR plus feature and regression results is delivered only for approved implementation.
Possible outputs
- Scoped branch/PR or patch in the client-controlled repo
- Feature/regression results, change/dependency notes and agreed handoff
Scoped and quoted separately.
Third-party costsThird-party licenses, API/model runs, database/cloud test resources, domains, hosting and ongoing maintenance are not included by default and require separate agreement.
Key checkDiagnosis completes with a feasibility, dependency/blocker, scope and client-observable acceptance-case report. Feature and regression acceptance applies after approved development; no implicit merge or release.
Verifiable acceptance · 3
- Stage 1 · DiagnosisThe report explains feasibility, runtime prerequisites, proposed scope, acceptance behavior and regression risks; it is not an implemented feature
- Stage 2 · Approved implementationAcceptance behavior works in the agreed environment and relevant regressions pass or blockers are documented
- Both stagesNeither scope permits unapproved merging or production deployment

Illustrative example — not a completed client order
The request
Add CSV export to an existing dashboard with fixed columns and ordering.
Sample artifacts

Other tasks of this kind
- Add dark mode to an existing reading website, remember the preference and check existing mobile layouts for regressions.
Output structure / test path
Acceptance: filters honored, column order fixed, characters encoded correctly
Scope boundaries
Requires customer-controlled repo and test environment; DB migrations, production launch and major architecture shifts are separately scoped.
Not included by default
- Unbounded continuation of an entire product
- Unlimited new feature requests
- Permanent hosting of client infrastructure
What affects the quote
First inspect repo and testability; quote based on scope and risk.
